It's time for another video - rawimage style (although I have to admit the style of my videos differ often from my photo work on dA)! This is the second release called Innenwelt from the Sonnenland Suite by Carsten Vollmer.
History
I had this footage lying arround for ages because the record label Zomba, were Markus Popp aka Oval was signed, refused to let me use a track of him for my purpose. I guess I could have used it anyway, if I would have asked in a different way, but with being young, insecure and stumbling something about 'music video' and 'wanting it for free' they told me to eff off.
Last year, on an aweful hot summer day, I was sharing even hotter electronica with a friend of mine. He also gave me a copy of Carsten's Sonnenland Suite, telling me this guy's music would be a total pain in the arse, but above all in the ears and causing him headache. That was the first time I experienced Vollmer's sound, instantly knowing that this was the right tune...
Geekdom
The original video footage was converted to a sequence of single bitmaps, which were batch processed with ASCGEN to textfiles. After that I opened those textfiles with Acrobat Reader and scrolled them line or pagewise while recording these "animations" back to video.
At least I glitched them up using Resolume and Adobe Premiere
