Description

It's all about anger.
It's all about pain.
It's all about rage.

You like the video "Come to Daddy" by Chris Cunningham/Aphex Twin? Well, then you might like this one as well. I have to say there are some references, but I don't want to measure myself with Chris!

Production notes:
I did this video in the summer of 2003. It might sound odd, but the footage was recorded in my living room while the sun was shining through the window and children were playing in the garden with the hose. My dear sister and me were pulling faces (without any make-up) in front of a piece of black cloth, and believe it or not, we had a lot of fun.
The deformations were done with premiere's echo filter. I can tell you, the rendering time was far beyond being reasonable! For about 30 minutes of footage my poor little Athlon 1600+ was rendering for more than 20 hours straight.
The processed footage was then re-captured directly from a TV screen with an old, broken video camera. Editing was done with Adobe Premiere 6.
The soundtrack is courtesy by Folkstorm aka Henrik N. Björkk, a very nice guy from Sweden. We had a little conversation via email and I told him that it would be a honour doing a video for one of his powerful tracks. I had a clip with WW2 footage, explosions, gore and everything in mind, fixed up a little demo clip, and he agreed. It was a few days later when I discovered the echo effect and came up with this, which was something completely different. He was very pleased anyway, but sometimes I'm not so sure if he was really happy with this twist...
